Chrishell Stause made headlines on Thursday after it was announced that the reality star is set to appear in Neighbours later this year.
And now viewers Down Under are feverishly speculating over why producers were keen to cast the 42-year-old Selling Sunset host in the long running soap.
One theory doing the rounds is that Chrishell,who is married to Australian musician G Flip,may help to create a new audience for the distinctly Aussie show,which is currently screening on Amazon.
'I guess this is part of their [Neighbours' producers) continued efforts to drive new viewers to the show in the US,' commented one viewer on industry blog Media Spy.
'Chrishell is a pretty good get by the show [and] obviously has ties to Australia now being married to G Flip,' added another.

Chrishell stepped out looking incredibly glamorous last weekend at Netflix's FYC event in LA to spruik season eight of her reality TV show.
And she didn't leave the red carpet without giving fans a hint that she and her love,30,are taking a big step toward starting a family,reported Access Hollywood.
'Our [family] update is in season eight. We really opened up on the show. So,I would hate to tell you now,' she told reporter Lauren Herbert,unable to contain her smile.
'And I have a little bit more time of peace before everybody knows so let me relish in that please.'
