Matty Healy cut a scruffy figure in grey jogging bottoms in LA on Monday after his mother Denise Welch confirmed his engagement to singer Gabbriette Bechtel.
The 1975 frontman,35,paired the trousers with a green T-shirt and a matching pair of Nike trainers.
He held his car keys in one hand and enjoyed a video on his phone in the other,finishing his look with white earbuds.
Matty was without his soon-to-be wife Gabbriette Bechtel,26,an American punk rock singer and model.
The couple,who have been dating since September 2023,are yet to publicly confirm they are to marry,but Matty's mother Denise,66,revealed she has known of engagement 'for a few weeks'.
On Loose Women,Denise said of Gabbriette: 'We couldn't be happier. She is everything I would want in a daughter in law' and added that her ring was custom-made (pictured in June)
Often known mononymously as Gabbriette,the star is the lead singer of Nasty Cherry,created by Charli XCX.
She started her career as a ballerina but fell into modelling after being cast in a Blood Orange music video.
In 2023,Gabbriette admitted to Tish Weinstock for Vogue that she was an 'unpaid,hard-working model for a very long time'.
Gabbriette has since modelled for high-end fashion brands such as Diesel,Bottega Veneta and Marc Jacobs.
